Food is good there too - especially B'Loved, I really recommend the upgrade. About Catalonia Riviera Maya & Yucatan Beach Resort This hotel is located in the wonderful Puerto Aventuras area of the Riviera Maya. Just kind of nice to get out of the all inclusive for a couple hours, without booking an excursion. We walked down one day for some bottled beers and a shrimp appy - decent prices, and there was a band playing. They sometimes have live music - especially on weekend evenings. And did I mention how great the beach is? Plus there is a beach club a short walk away. The rooms in the GARDEN VIEW category are distributed throughout the complex. There is also a hot tub overlooking the beach at CRT. Catalonia Riviera Maya Resort & Spa shares all the facilities with the hotel Catalonia Yucatan Beach forming a hotel complex with a total of 628 rooms. These two resorts remind me of each other because they are less expensive adult only choices, which I appreciate. I honestly don't think you'll like OM a whole lot more, if you end up thinking you like it more. Since you've never been there, I'd try it - then you'll know. See 14,222 traveler reviews, 12,123 candid photos, and great deals for Catalonia Riviera Maya, ranked 12 of 18 hotels in Puerto Aventuras and rated 4 of 5 at Tripadvisor. It really isn't that long - but at the end of the day when you're hot and tired, and carrying towels and floaties, it can feel a bit long - but it is mostly in the shade, and you see a lot of animals, so that's fun! Now 128 (Was 195) on Tripadvisor: Catalonia Riviera Maya, Puerto Aventuras. The walk to the beach at CRT is over a long bridge. They are both sort of similar in that the rooms are all in the middle between the lobby and the beach/pools. No matter the time of year, Catalonia Yucatan Beach is crowded, and filled with the type of guests willing to fight for a coveted spot around the pool. I think there is a bit more walking at CRT, from what I remember. Please choose a different pet friendly hotel in Puerto Aventuras for your. OM does have two pools, which is nice - but CRT has a very large pool, and they added a swim up bar several years back. Catalonia Riviera Maya Beach and Spa Resort All-inclusive does not allow dogs. We've been to both and liked both! But I think CRT has the edge, especially if you do the upgrade so that you can eat at B'Loved.
